Assuming a power tariff of Rs 4.5 per unit, we calculate yearly running cost at Rs 1231.87.

At Prakriti Network we take our baths very seriously indeed... but even if you have a rain shower and a jacuzzi installed in your bath room, the one thing that makes a bath fantastic is the soap you use! Most common brands we use have synthetic fragrances and loads of harmful chemicals which we wantonly apply all over the largest organ of our body- the skin. Look out for stuff like sodium laureth ether sulphate (SLES, very cheap lathering agents) or its cousins. Experts claim that these chemicals are carcinogenic and we actually wash ourselves with them!

Prakriti Network soaps are lovingly hand made in Kerala by artisans who meditate. Using only choicest ingredients, the purest of essential oils, no added colours and absolutely no harmful chemicals. So while you are having a fantastic bath, you can rest assured that you are not poisoning yourself!

More than 80% of the soap is made of coconut oil. Glycerin content is 6.41%. Our soaps have the very skin friendly vitamin E in them and a germicidal and anti microbial nature. Repeated usage will give your skin softness and suppleness.

Our soaps lather superbly even in hard water, and the lather is so smooth, it could even be used as shaving cream! Since we dont use any artificial colouring agents and the soaps are completely handmade, the colouring may vary. These soaps have no animal fat and they were not tested on any animals, so you can have an utterly guilt free bath.

Subtle, natural fragrances of Tulsi, Khus-Khus, Lemon Grass and Rose are used and linger on lightly and elusively, like the memory of a very pleasant dream...

Introducing: The Kurta!

Prakriti Network is proud to bring you the Kurta. A completely Indian fashion and comfort statement. Here is a garment which is both trendy and traditional, can be formal and casual and is always utterly comfortable. Our Kurtas are simply and elegantly designed with a nice long cut (they reach well below the knees) to make it almost flow around your body.

We have a hand picked range in both cotton and hand spun Khadi, Currently available in 3 sizes: 38, 40 and 42 (very soon we will have sizes 44 and 46 as well). While our cotton Kurtas are all white with self design, the khadi kurtas are in all kinds of beautiful colours... no blacks will ever be available though :). The self designs and the colours will be changed every few months,

Your purchase makes hardly any dent to your wallet, all our kurtas are priced very reasonably (only between Rs 850 to Rs 1000).

Khadi is extremely eco-friendly. The process of making khadi involves no environmental pollution. 1 meter of (machine made) cotton fabric requires 1600 litres of water to produce. Only 70-80 litres of water is required to produce equivalent amount of Khadi.

The process of making khadi originates more than 5000 years ago and is believed to be from ancient India. Today it gives a fantastic opportunity for village industries to flourish. 70% of the artisans who make khadi are women, many of them were destitute and helpless, and khadi has bought them back their dignity. If just 1 % of the population of India would start to regularly wear Khadi, employment would be generated for an estimated 1.5 crore people, almost all rural, majority women and youth.

Why Prakriti Network?

The next 3 posts are going to be put up on the main website and hopefully in the products brochure... here goes :)

Thousands of people, especially the young ones, who are enthusiastic and raring to do interesting things in life, somehow get their wings clipped because of financial constraints. They end up earning a paltry sum of money in some dead end jobs or BPOs where the hours are long and tedious and the work culture is most non-conducive for a healthy way of life. They are usually completely frustrated and really want to do something about it, but have no idea what.
Some put their heart and soul trying to earn while they learn… most after completing studies get stuck in a job, where they may have little or no inclination to work, but have to, because they don’t have any other options.
Given a chance they would rather spend time with exciting hobbies, pursuing adventure sports, or even life enhancing activities like Yoga, meditation and doing Seva. This costs money and time which a lot of them cannot afford and so stop themselves from doing the stuff that makes life meaningful and fun.
It would be tremendously empowering for them to earn the money to support themselves. It would be an added comfort factor for them to show to themselves, their peers and their parents that they have been provided with viable options that helps them become an entrepreneur and not just an employee!
We have been exploring the possibility for creating wealth for these type of adventurous people. We are very enthused about using the idea of Network Marketing to achieve the same. 5. Ayurveda :
Seemol a unique Ayurvedic formulation to be used as a sprinkling powder on toothpaste or just gargle with luke warm water to make you feel fresher and your teeth, gums and even throat healthier. Gives quick relief from gingivitis, tooth ache, gum diseases, bad breath and throat infections.

We are looking into procuring more products and over time will introduce them onto the network

6. Music CDs/DVDs :

Music from Vikram, Harshal, Sahil, Krishnan... and more will be made available.

We wish to include 7 CDs of the best music that we have in the initial kit, however the recording is taking much longer than expected, so though 7 CDs are in the initial kit, you may not receive them immediately, we will ship them as soon as they are ready!

The initial kits will start shipping in the second week of April for all those who have got Green status.

You will receive the initial kit in 4 parts by mail.

We are very excited about all our products, and a huge amount of work has gone into making them, testing (or tasting :)) them, and getting them ready for you... they are an absolute labour of love and we hope(actually we know!) that you will enjoy using them... Is it Legal?

Though in India, Network Marketing is considered to be legal, unfortunately our constitution doesnt say what type of compensation plan is legal... so until proved illegal (and this depends only on the discretion of the judge handling the case) all Network Marketing companies in India are legal!

However, here are 4 questions that need to be asked and if you get a positive response for all of them, you can rest assured that the company and the plan will be deemed legal even in case it ever goes to a court of law.


1. There are “Real” products being bought and/or sold by “Real” people.

Meaning that the product is not some pixel on someones website, and the people involved are not "bots". Hence while registering for Prakriti Network, personal detials like PAN number or Passport number have to be furnished!

2. The answer to the question: “Would you buy these products if there was no business opportunity at the prices you are buying them now?” is a resounding “YES!”

The products are not "over priced" according to normal market standards... Otherwise it again becomes a thinly disguised money circulation scheme.

3. The Referral Program is not a “Chain” or a “Pyramid” Scheme.

Meaning that other than having more people join, there is cash flow into the organisation... so its not a "one time" purchase only... then it becomes network recruiting, not network marketing :).. please read up the first post on this blog to know more about this.

4. There is an equal opportunity for everyone who joins the business to earn money, meaning an individual’s position in the network when they join makes no difference to the income they will earn.

The income that people earn depends on how much they (and their group) sell, not on their position on the network.
